Overview

IXOPAY is an enterprise-grade payment orchestration platform that enables global merchants, PSPs, ISOs, and ISVs to connect to 200+ acquirers and 300+ payment methods through a single API. Founded as a subsidiary of IXOLIT GmbH (Vienna) in 2014, the platform provides smart transaction routing, automated reconciliation, fee management, risk and fraud services, and a white-label solution for payment businesses wanting to brand their own stack. The platform is vendor-neutral: merchants can add, switch, or remove payment providers without re-integration. In April 2024, IXOPAY merged with TokenEx (a K1 Investment Management-backed US cloud tokenization provider), creating a combined entity formally called "IXOPAY, a TokenEx Company." The combined entity now offers omnichannel PCI-certified tokenization (with 2.1B+ tokens stored), payment orchestration, and — following the December 2024 Aperia Compliance merger — PCI compliance validation services for acquirers and merchants of all sizes. In October 2025, IXOPAY acquired Congrify to add no-code, AI-powered payment intelligence and observability, now surfaced as native analytics within the platform. As of 2025 the platform processed $171B in payments annually for 700+ customers. IXOPAY targets enterprise merchants, payment facilitators, and white-label clients that need multi-acquirer flexibility, reduced PCI scope, and data-driven optimization at scale. Key differentiators include a 500+ pre-built adapter catalog, merchant-owned universal tokens that work across all connected PSPs, AI-driven authorization rate optimization, and a vendor-neutral posture that lets merchants own their payment data and routing logic. The combined entity is backed by K1 Investment Management as primary PE backer following the TokenEx merger.
