Overview

ProcessOut is a payment orchestration and analytics platform that enables global merchants and fast-growing companies to connect, manage, and optimize their payments across multiple payment service providers (PSPs) through a single integration. Its core products include Smart Routing — an AI-driven engine that dynamically selects the best provider for each transaction using statistical models and machine learning — and Telescope, an agnostic payment monitoring system that analyzes transaction data across all connected providers, benchmarks performance against industry data, and surfaces actionable insights to improve authorization rates and reduce costs. The platform also includes a PCI-compliant Vault for tokenizing and storing payment credentials across providers, enabling transaction chaining without re-integrating each PSP. An Ops Suite centralizes payment data for finance (instant reconciliation), support (per-customer transaction views), and engineering (no-code dashboards alongside API access). ProcessOut processed $20B+ in annual transaction volume prior to its acquisition and analyzes $100B+ in payments data across its platform. Important context: ProcessOut was founded in 2015 in Paris/New York and was acquired by Checkout.com in February 2020 — Checkout.com's first-ever acquisition. ProcessOut continues to operate as a vendor-agnostic business unit within Checkout.com, maintaining its own brand, team, and product roadmap, and continues to work with all PSPs including Checkout.com competitors. Founders Cyril Chemla (CEO) and Jeremy Lejoux remain with the business post-acquisition. The platform targets enterprise merchants and high-growth companies managing complex, multi-PSP payment stacks across multiple geographies.
